HOW IT WORKS
IN THE SADDLE CORE PROGRAMMING
Recovery Domestique Program
To become a Recovery Domestique, you are required to have one (1) year of continuous sobriety and be an active cyclist in your community. Anonymity is a principle of other programs and it is up to each RD whether or not they allow ITS to disclose their sobriety on social media and annual newsletters. RD's are connection points and are asked to share their experience, strength, and hope when a newcomer applies to earn-a-bike or wants to share in the fellowship of recovery and cycling.
Bicycle Repair Classes
Applicants must be living in a residential sober/transitional living program where their sobriety can be validated. To be eligible, an individual must have 90 days of continuous sobriety.

Our repair classes are designed to repair and refurbish donated bicycles for our earn-a-bike program. These classes are led by mechanics of bicycle shops that In The Saddle is partnered with.
